Ottawa Art Gallery Expansion 2017
LPM Projects is looking forward to future projects with the Ottawa Art Gallery.
Full construction on the OAG Expansion and Art Court Redevelopment Project has begun!
The OAG Expansion and Arts Court Redevelopment Project is part of a long-standing vision for Ottawa and is a major component of the downtown revitalization plan.
In the days and months ahead, the site of the future home of the Ottawa Art Gallery will undergo extensive excavation. The gallery will continue to operate as normal within Arts Court and at the OAG Annex located at City Hall.
Not only will the OAG expand to more than 80,000 square feet, on five floors, featuring a multidisciplinary screening space that will be home to the Canadian Film Institute. The new gallery will connect on four levels with a redeveloped Arts Court including expanded and improved spaces for creation, production, exhibition and performance for some of Ottawa’s leading artist-run centres, including Saw Gallery, Saw Video, Independent Filmmakers Co-Operative of Ottawa and Artengine.
The project also includes an exciting private sector mixed-use boutique hotel and residential complex, and an underground parking structure.
