In today’s day of soaring gas prices, mass-produced attire and the threat of global warming, what better time to slip into your own pair of custom designed sneakers or shred the pavement on your own customized skateboard, bicycle or rickshaw?! Take that city smog! Be gone traffic jams! To the back of the closet brand name sneakers!
La Petite Mort brings you a new breed of city wears with the environment in mind. Using human powered modes of transportation such as skateboards, bicycles, rickshaws, foot wear and wheelchairs, La Petite Mort seeks to offer you a new way to get around. In artfully, delicious ways La Petite Mort in union with local and not so local artist is bringing the environment, custom design and the beat of urban culture to a pavement near you. From August 1st to August 31st 2008 La Petite Mort will be featuring the work of many artists, as they take on the challenge of creating one of a kind skateboards, low rider bicycles, tricycles, unicycles, wheelchairs, rickshaws and even custom designed shoes! Do some good in not only giving mama Earth a helping hand but helping out local, small businesses at the same time. It’s environmentally conscious. It’s socially aware, omission free, wearable-transportable art! What more could you possibly want?
