One Night Stand with Marc Knowles

The organic qualities found in my work mirror nature's beauty and chaos. Wood grain, silkscreen stencils, and paint shapes are used as the foundation of my artistic process. With ambiguous natural patterns, I create environments that blur lines between macrocosmand microcosm. Using landscapes or abstract lifeforms, I strive to find innovative motifs.
My paintings and prints are autobiographical. Personal memories translate into gestural impulses, therefore presenting iconic physical phenomenons. These scenes are states of mind brought about when closing my eyes and looking inside myself.
