I look for unique vantage points, for new ways of expressing the familiar. The aim varies according to mood. The goal can be to summon recollections, tell stories, express beauty, or all important things or none. -The approach:
Using exclusively manual equipment and relying on various film speeds and formats enhances the natural beauty of available light – day or night. All photos are full-frame; no image is cropped - ever. It is printed as it was seen.
The print:
Each print is produced by hand in the darkroom at Fabrice Stripolli Studios in Toronto, by Fabrice and/or Justin. Black-and-white prints are silver gelatin and all others are chromogenic process. Frames are custom-built at Encadrex in Montreal.
